Brief History
H.E.L.P.S. networks with social service agencies, area churches and businesses to meet the needs of individuals and families who would otherwise “Fall between the Cracks” of the system of local, state, and federal in-place agencies. Mission Statement To accommodate needs of individual families that fall through he cracks of the system. To feed the hungry, clothe the naked and to preserve one's self respect. To educate those, young or old, aiding them toward self-sufficiency and a better quality of life with “Life Skills Education”. UNESCO/Education - What are the "skills"?

H.E.L.P.S. Ministry Outreach is a grass-root crisis intervention agency which was developed in 1980 as a response to the growing needs for the homeless in West Central IL. We are a non-denominational, 501 C3 tax exempt Faith Based organization, with our entire staff being volunteers. H.E.L.P.S. is governed by a nine member board of directors, who are from clergy, professional people, the recent homeless, to business owners.
